I have been watching this thread for a couple years now. I keep hoping and praying Denise will be released to the public. I have noticed several times in the last year that it looks like she will be released in a short time. Then comes crushing reality and nothing happens for months other than some sexy pictures. Will she ever be released and if so what is a realistic time-line? A month, a year, a decade? I don't mean to sound harsh about it. I've just been disappointed from the posts many times over the last year or so. I think if you wait till everything is perfect and all the features are there that you want for her then she will never see the light of day. She sounds so wonderful and I think she will revolutionize how people in homes and business's interact with computer. But that will never happen if you try and make her perfect. Trust me I have never found a perfect woman. Don't think it will ever happen virtual or otherwise. LOL.

I beg to differ; I HAVE found the perfect woman!
The secret is to accept a woman for who she already is.
However, I must reflect the sentiment that Donny has made. Denise is so far along the way to being completed on a practical level that it may just be OK to accept her for who she is and release her as she is.
This would get practical feedback from the masses which can then be fed back into the design and released as the next version.
The trap is that you are CREATING Denise, and the temptation is to wait until the "creation" is perfect.
Of course, you could ultimately be just waiting for the right investor or buyer to come along and sell your work to. In which case, waiting and working on your project in the mean time would be the best strategy.

Thanks Donny and John.
I totally understand your feelings. This may sound kind of weird, but I myself share this kind of frustration of holding her debut for so long, and today the only reason for not offering the initial beta is because I'm going through some strategical partnership deals that needs to be establish, so I can have the financial support for all the infrastructure needed for a product like this.
This will allow my company to have servers, Internet band-width, customer support, e-commerce structure and all the things needed to offer not just a good product, but also a good customer support.
From the Portuguese Beta phase, I could noticed the great acceptance from people to a software like Denise, but also noticed that's because of the unique nature of this application, it will have to have a great support team.
In short, Denise is ready for a beta phase, we're just setting up her home.

Glad to here she is ready for Beta. Hope you will keep me in mind when your ready to do the US beta. I run 5 computers here from XP x32 on a net-book to Vista x32 on a home media machine to Win 7 x32 on small laptop and desktop to my main Cad machine with Win7 x64. The computers run all the time and are used all the time. Would be a good test for how Denise reacts on multiple systems while working together I would think.

Very odd... I was just doing some improvements in the search features of Denise when I search for the book Virtual Humans that is the reason for this forum. Got very surprised when I checked the sales price for it... US$ 599.95 !! I'm not sure if this is a mistake from Amazon site, or the author just doesn't want to sell it anymore

Really strange! At the top right of the page you can see that the list price is 34.95 US$, while the new "discounted" price is 599,95.

What's even more incredible is that if from that page you click on the Used link, you find some copies at 1 dollar, but also a used copy sold at 631,30 US$ plus shipping costs (but in "very good" conditions...)

Maybe the Amazon database is corrupted...
Anyway, I will keep my copy of this book in a safe box, because it might become a very precious item!

You'd think that after paying $631.30 for a used book they would drop the $3.99 shipping...

Hi Wolfray,
Don't worry. Denise's project and the Universal Virtual Human Interface is pretty alive and ready to begin Beta test phase very soon.
About your project, I think you should look at VB and programming forums, since here we discuss more conceptual ideas than hard coding itself.
Thanks for using my free Melissa MSAgent.

Our new web site is on the way. Denise's birthday is very close now. We will soon open a very small number of beta test licenses. People that are following me in this forum for these past four years will have priority for these licenses.
The requisition form for the Beta test will be available soon in our new web site or here in this forum.
