Penguin Speaker Test
Tests the speaker

Virtual Sound Chip
The VIRTUAL SOUND CHIP - VSC is a virtual reality (VR) computer chip, created entirely from software. It has no physical size, weight, or dimensions - and takes up no space outside of microcontroller EEPROM and RAM. It synthesizes multiple channel sound waveforms, resulting in special effects sound and music generation. It can make unlimited sound variations, emulate and mimic numerous real world sounds, and go beyond the real world by creating music tempos, echo chambers, reverb, dimensions and thousands of amazing special effects.
The VSC is fully functional and tested with up to eleven channels of sound mixing control, although the waveform levels can be expanded. Consult the amazing list of over 200 Virtual Sound Chip supporting programs released with this new concept. The VSC Chip turns the microcontroller, which previously could only make a few beeps and simple notes, into something truly wonderful!
This zip file includes 210 programs

Penguin Jukebox
Penguin JukeBox plays 11 popular tunes listed below. This is one the largest collection of Basic Stamp Penguin robot Juke Box tunes under one code roof!

Penguin Freqout

Welcome to the Virtual Sound Chip with the following capabilities:
Multiple Filtered Penguin Channel Synthesizer
This program uses the Virtual Sound Chip.
Multiple Voice Electronic Virtual Sound Processor
Independently controlled voices
Frequency Modulation
Multiple Envelope Derivatives
Independent Sound Morphing
Includes Oscillators and Mixers

Penguin ktv karaoke
You can sing along with Penguin robot in KTV style! This program generates music in single notes, then adds two note chords to demonstrate this capability. Enough information is provided to "decode" most musical scores, and create new Penguin KTV songs.

Penguin pulsout
Create a discrete sound example using Pulsout with techniques of the VSC Virtual Sound Chip

Penguin Radio

This is an innovative Penguin radio, complete with directional antenna, capable of receiving Penguin stations. This is the only Penguin radio in existence at the time of this posting. Each element and component of this virtual radio scanner is real and fully functional.

Penguin serout

Create a discrete sound example using the Serout and baud waveform techniques of the VSC Virtual Sound Chip

Penguin Sleep Machine

The Penguin Sleep Machine is a sound conditioner with noise masking capabilities. Penguin will help you sleep at night by lulling you to sleep with a form of repeating white noise. White noise is known for its calming qualities and capabilities of drowning out unwanted sounds. To generate this sound, Penguin makes use of the Virtual Sound Synthesizer - a sound effects chip created in software.

Penguin spaced 2001

In the classic SciFi movie "2001 a Space Odyssey" directed by Stanley Kubrick, the HAL 9000 computer sings "Daisy" as it's brain is being disassembled. This causes it to sing very slow. Penguins' brain has new software being put in, not taken out. So listen to what happens when Penguin plays this famous tune!

Penguin Theremin

This is a program to convert Penguin robot into a musical instrument called a theremin. It uses the right photodetector on pin 1, and speaker on pin 12. Penguin provides the tempo as a hand is moved in proximity to the photodetector to vary the musical pitch.
The first theremin was created by a Russian inventor, Léon Theremin, in 1919. It was the first musical instrument designed to be played without being touched. The original instrument consisted of two pitch and one volume radio frequency oscillators and two metal antennas.

Penguin toggle
This code is a discrete running sample using a demo of Toggle to generate sound waveforms.

Penguin Tune Creator
Plays "Do Ray Mi Fa So La Ti Do" up & down Vary octave, note length, time between notes, last note length. Speaker on pin 12

Penguin Vibrato Machine

Demonstrates how to make music with or without vibrato and includes special effects sound generator

Penguin Virtual Soundchip
This is the demo version VSC Virtual Sound chip. The code creates a virtual sound chip synthesizer demo capable of producing sound, music, and special effects using four primary techniques. This code illustrates how to create sound using the four methods. The debug screen menu has options to run a sound from each of the method subroutines. For more programming details, refer to the VSC suite of programs.

Penguin Sound Determinator

This is a simple freqout frequency sound determinator. Input values to find the right tone sound you're looking for.

Penguin Virtual Volume Amp

Penguin's Virtual Volume Amplifier (VVA) will amplify sound without adding any electronic components. Penguin robot exploits sound characteristics unique to the peizoelectric speaker.
Make new discoveries by searching the VVA Spectrum. The VVA Spectrum is the space occupied by the entire sound range which is peizoelectric speaker capable. This program will allow the user to search this range, and make new discoveries!
The code gives a series of sound play back choices. This includes nonamplified sound, amplified sound, and the option to experiment by specifying a sound frequency. For each, the frequency value is displayed.
