Phoneme Keyboard:
http://8-i.us/voicebox/
A work in progress, that works...
Quick start to experiment with:
- v|er|t|ch|oo|e|l| |y|oo|m|aer|n|s| |f|or|a|m|m # Virtual Humans Forum
- ii| |e|m| |aa| |r|oo|bb|o|tt| # I am a robot
- ch| |e|ck| | |i|t| | |ow|t| # Check it out
- c|e|n| | |y|ouu| | |u|n|d|err|s|t|aer|n|dd| | |m|ee|ee # Can you understand me
How to: It should be possible to copy and paste each line listed above separately to the phoneme keyboard and perform text to speech. Or use the keyboard to try and figure out your own phoneme string and perform text to speech over the web. Each phoneme is separated by the delimiter: | including blank spaces between words. The comments are optional and start with a: # that makes it easier for humans to read.
The next phase may be to parse the input text, generate the phoneme string, and speak automatically. However, it may take a fair amount of research to reach that point.
