Hi all

My first post just to say a few things about Verbot. Not long into it, and previous experience is Personality Forge and Hal.

It's actually in quite the same sphere as Personality Forge, as in being a kind of step up from an pure AIML based approach (although I'm not so familiar with AIML).

I didn't get on with Hal because I'm not into the 'random quote' style bots, and it has too much random knowledge in it's brain for me. Still it is clever and I can see the appeal. I just like the control (and realism?) that non self-learning bots give you to avoid parroting, and weird language, picked up from its interpretations of the input.

One awesome thing about Verbot is that you can work on it offline then upload that to the online version. In other words, you can use the Verbot editor, work on it all online while testing in real-time, then upload it all to the online version. This is great compared to P.Forge which, although is a great interface, can be slow to work with.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. :)
