That game looks excellent. Had to check out their site. The only
game I'm any good at is Madden. All the other ones make me too
dizzy and nauseous. Can't even play FPS's.

That's smart on the iTunes thing. I can't even imagine taking
that on.

OMG. I didn't know they weren't shipping computers with XP
anymore! Gasp! I've read bad things about Poser 7 on Vista.
Aw man. I just found out so I called right away. Too late. The
article I read said June 30, today. Jeeeesh. The guy on the
phone said the cutoff was June 18.

I don't know though. Who knows? Maybe it's just a case by case
basis with P7/Vista? I don't know. I guess I'll just think on
this now.

Have a good one, Mik.

Yea, iTunes decoder is not playing nice. The company I hired blew the project... couldn't figure it out. So I guess its up to me... gonna have to get down and dirty with it. Grrr!

Here is an AiBliss blooper. I'm gonna start collecting them and I will make a little video out of them when I finish the project.

Hey! I think I met her in 1985! But I was trippin' at the time.

Hehe. A video compilation like that will be really cool though.

PS ... Then I married her and my life went straight to hell. LOL!

Nah, I'm really kiddin' about that. I met *her* in 1987.

I met *it* in 97! nuf said

Well looks like the new format of iTunes, the M4P and V, is hereby protected by Apple and unless you are a major player there is no way I can legally use the new iTunes format. darn them! Well, I tried!

Maybe things will change in the future... who needs iTunes anyways?

*It*. LOL. Yup.

I agree. Screw Apple. They just have such a stranglehold on things
right now. They don't have to play nice. And Amazon really is
easy to use for MP3's anyway. Kind of goofy though. If you clear
your cookies their downloads don't recognize that you already have
the Amazon MP3 downloader installed. Heh. Oh well. Always
something.

Hehe. Also, I'm a big -- chump change -- stock market junkie.
Nvidia's stock, NVDA, got creamed on Thursday. They warned they're
going to miss their projected revenues for the quarter. But they
also said they're going to be lowering their prices due to cheap
competition. I just wonder when. Wouldn't mind getting one of
their cards a couple hundred bucks or whatever cheaper. We'll
see what happens.

Hey, we have a new character! Here is a sneak peek.

Who could this young man be?

Click the link below to see the face of AiBliss's new male character - Jake! Now Jenny has a friend. Aww.

Sorry its taking me so long to finish the chat function. But its working. I just need to do a lot of cleanup work and fine tuning. (hey it took a team of 20, 4 years to make the Sims2 - I'm just me) But the cool thing is, unlike Kari and Sergio, AiBliss will be unisex. Males can play Jake, girls can play Jenny, or you can just let them run around by themselves all day.

I think that is what I read...! Every team I ever worked on was like 6-12 people actually working on the game. Then there are the 'overseers' that oversee all the games in production like Art Director, company Producer, vice-pres, bla bla bla... they dont count.

This is what an actual working team might look like...

Game Producer - 1

Oversees the game and the back-n-forth between the higher ups.

Lead Programmer - 1

Heads the programming

Lead Artist - 1

Heads the art (leads are usually put in the same room)

Programmers 2-3

Do all the day to day programming.

Character Artists 1-2

Makes characters, skins them.

Animator 1-2

Animates the characters and deals with all the motion capture.

Level Artist 1-2

Create levels and objects in the game.

I worked as a Level Artist for 3 games and helped with animation on 1. Notice I was usually at the bottom of the ladder. no respect

Hey, I say we all move to New Zealand and start our own little indie company! Im a big fan of Hercules (which was filmed in NZ) always drooling at the scenery down there. Those damn visas tho... is it true they would kick us out after 6 months?

Hmm! Most credits lists I see run to four multi-columned pages of small print Although admittedly many of them are not creative - marketing, QA, etc. But for example Lego Indiana Jones lists 12 programmers, 5 game system programmers, and 11 engine technician/programmers, plus lead. Art is usually about twice that size, in my experience. And managers/executives run to at least five times as many

That said, these are on the biggest games out... although I would have thought Sims 2 would count as huge. Its manual doesn't have a credits list so I can't look

Ya the scenery is nice in NZ; I'm not sure about the visas though, although I've heard they can be pretty restrictive - you need to be rich and qualified. That said I've heard it's tough getting into America too

Yeah, credits are like a movie. If you moved your pinky toe your automatically in the credits.

It would be a great opportunity for you to show your virtual girls to a wider audience.

Keep us informed about it.
