I recieved an email from a middle school teacher this week and
thought that it was deserving of publication here. I have advised
this educator of young minds to visit several forums and sites
regarding the use and developement of UltraHal and also haptek
characters, including this forum. His email was more in the form
of a request about appropriate character's for use with Hal in an
academic setting. Here is the content of his correspondance. This
was actually his second correspondance with me.

I am a middle school science teacher. I have Hal 6 and am intending to use the program to deliver content to my students (11-13 years old). The faces of young women - like on fulbody Htr's - are perfect because they appear to be in the age range of my students!!!!! The problem: the bodies........ too sexy for conservative New Hampshire. Is there a way to get just the heads, or to tone down the bodies so they are more like adolescent young ladies (less developed) and more conservatively dressed?

I know I can enlarge the image in the skins to hide the body, but one slip of the mouse and...... Here come the calls from the parents!!!!!!

I am loving using these characters in my class, but finding appropriate female characters is not easy.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

hehe, I didn't know that New Hampshire is so conservative. Here in Europe, every day on our television our boys can see much more "interesting" ladies.

I think it's possible to create a different Haptek avatar, which is, let me say, less interesting for young (and old...) guys.

However, Tom, you are the master of the Haptek graphics

I hate to dispute your high praise of my skills, but I think Jack
"karacterking" has developed into just as capable a haptek designer
as myself. IAlAI
