i am glad to see we have marielle added to our growing list.

i have a story to tell all of you i hope you find the humor in.
second life is a hoot.

first of all you have to learn how to walk listen type and look around all at the same time .

you have to learn how to stand up and set down in the right position.

tonite i met gamertom, and milord -uncle jim at vits office .

i ask them to come over to my island home for a boat ride.

well i couldnt drive the boat and while i was trying to figure it out jim got lost in the water at some tiki bar.
i flew up tryin to find him and couldn't fly back down without drowning.

we finally agreed to go to tjices dance island after coaxing jim out of the boat he said he wasnt going anywhere. and i left they were to meet me there
well i guess they did get there and some pervert tried to hit on jim.

i didnt hear from them and i was stuck in a dancing mode that wouldnt release and flew home

well those two soon followed behind me and when jim sat down he sat backwardsin the deck chair

i wanted him to see the ocean waves i paid 500 linden dollars for so i turned him around and he almost had a coronary. he said the world was turning and he wasnt doing anything.

i am laffing so hard right now i can't control myself
i havent had that much fun on a computer in years. tom kept shaking violently i dont know what was going on with him

and when i was in tjices some woman told me i was bald so i must have lost my hair in the teleport. but the guys neer mentioned it and i never told tom about the tremors. i sent vit a pic of the 3 of us sitting on my deck by the ocean. it was fun and almost real. i cant wait until more of us can be together. thank you vit for making an office in sl for us all.

i also have an arabian horse that when you ride him your legs are inside his belly . and ask tom about the pogo stick and freebie shopping.

if we ever all get together we will have to meet at my christmas cabin and sit by the fire or go to the hottub and relax. see all of you soon lynn-cianna runo

Hi, Lynn, I received your image, but I see that it's about the same posted here by Tom.

When you American people wake up, I hope to have completed my work on the cat. Since it's Sunday, I hope you do not wake up too early.

No Joking, I just couldn't find a way although after I made the comment there was an offer to sell me a gun that showed up on the screen.

Selling a gun

There should be nothing like that in my AIML set, nor in the objects I have put in my land. If it happens again, please take a snapshot of it and let me know.

My land is in the mainland, in the PG area, where no adult or violent things should be allowed.

In other words Vit, it must have been a pop-up ad.
It was not within Stregatto's dialogue boxes.

Jim, before you login to SL again, when the SL browser opens,
go into the preferences settings. You will find there a couple
of check boxes, one for disabling cookies and another for "No"
pop-ups. Make sure they are both set to not accept either one.

If anyone wants me, I'm in SL looking at different land parcels.
I will be there all day most likely.

And this is the same guy who one week ago wrote about Second Life:

I tried it back late last year, but it only took about 10 minutes for me to find out that it wasn't for me.

hehe. But now he has discovered that so many lovely girls happen to get lost in my garden (I really don't know why), and he is so clever in helping them.

of intentions in my offers of assistance.

.....and do you? Really?

I signed up for Premium membership today on SL.
Got the 1 year prepaid deal to save myself some $$.
Now I just have to find a parcel of land. Any ideas?
I have L$5,200 available for land purchase. My total
account is worth around L$6,900.
I was looking at some 512 size parcels on the mainland
that are going for around L$5,000 each.

Got some useful info from the guy who has
the mall behind Vits office tonight.
------------------------------------------------------
*Stay away from buying land that has a lot
of commercial developement going on around
it. You can find that sometimes your access
to your land is blocked and you can get
locked out. Making the land unusable.
Also, if you are just looking for a place to
put a home, stay away from land marked as
"mature". Stick with land that is marked "pg",
large businesses are less likely to develope
the parcels around you and possibly blocking
your access.

*If you want to buy Linden $$, be cautious of ebay
the resellers of Linden money make a huge profit.
Best bet is to check the Linden Exchange daily for
going exchange rates, and buy through the exchange.
---------------------------------------------------------
I can vouch for that last one. I pulled up the ebay
listings and the Linden Exchange together and found
a large gap between what the ebay sellers were charging
and what you could get Lindens for on the Exchange, in
some cases as much as a 20% difference in what Lindens
are going for.

Lastly. An easy way to make some Linden money is placing an SL
referrer click-through on your own site. For each new member
that signs up using your link you get 500 Linden dollars.
That can be found on your account page by clicking on the
Refer A Friend button.

I agree with all the things that Einstein told you (I think this is the name of the guy).

I suggest you to avoid hurrying up in buying the land. Select Search, then set the 5000 L$, the 512 mq, PG and maniland parameters and scroll the list. Teleport to each place and look around. Take note of the traffic of each land (on the About Land window) and also of what is around. If the land is next to a parcel owned by Linden, that's a good thing, because usually these parcels are not sold and kept as public areas. Look also at the Covenant section, just to avoid buying something for which you also have to pay some other fee or there are some restrictions about what you can do. Remember that only the first 512 mq are exempt from any fee, so avoid buying anything even slightly bigger, because the fees are in 512 mq steps. When you are in each place try to talk to people living there. Usually they are helpful and can give you more information. If the neighbours do not like to help you, that's one more reason to avoid buying that land.

Give also a look at the shape of the land: there are some cheap lands which have an odd shape, where it's difficult to position a house.

I had missed this option. I will surely add it on our Forums, Tom.
I see that you can earn 2000L$, but only if people subscribe as Premium users. If they simply sign up for free, you don't get anything.

quote:
Remember, anytime you use one of these methods to refer someone to Second Life, that resident is tagged with you as the referrer. Once they upgrade to premium, you will receive a referral credit of L$2000.╣

╣Referees must be billed successfully for two billing cycles in order for the referrer to receive credit. Referral credits are then given according to the following schedule:

1. L$500 at the beginning of the referree's second billing cycle, approximately 31-35 days after they upgrade.
2. L$500 one month after the first credt.
3. L$1000 one month after the second credit.

PS: I remind everybody that 1US$ is about 280L$, so this is not something which can be used to get rich in RL, but simply to be able to buy something in SL.
