Has anyone experimented with some of the newer versions of Yapanda that Anthony Carson has released to our group

I haven't used it. I remember that Anthony gave to the VH Yahoo group a link to download it, but I can't find it.

If Anthony agrees, it would be nice to put this link here, so that someone might get interested and start experimenting with it.

I just got it. You need to email Anthony. This was in an email from Peter last Nov

"Mike and others, 3dmenow is now owned by one of our list members who has
offered the full (read expensive) version to our list members at no
cost. Contact our Anthony Carson. <yapandasoftware@yahoo.com>
and make a formal request."

I would like that link too. I found this thread and forum a few days ago after trying my software after years. emailed Mr. Carson twice now and no answer. Has anyone heard anything since he took over? I would really like to get back to work on a project that i started back in xp that i stopped cause i moved.

update: Hey all I decided to take a gamble and contact Mr.Plantec himself via linkeden. I received a reply. He suggested to me to use verbot. he also said that team [verbot] is who helped give the ideas featured in the virtual humans book. though i went to there site and it seems they are having issues with their download system heh.

Please realize that this offer was made at least 8 years ago and will possibly be difficult to locate if at all.

Secondly, Whether Peter is aware or not, Verbots have closed their doors, I think, earlier this year and were offering their software for free. I think their forum was still up though barely supported. You might luck out there.

Check out some of the AIML based bots that do not require remote servers like Rivescript and some that do not use AIML like our friends at Zabaware (UltraHal) and Bruce Wilcox creator of Rosette and ChatScript. Lastly do check out our friend, Guile at guile3d and his wonderful work with his 3D lifelike avatars who chat and do much more.

This should keep you busy for a bit I hope but regretfully, I cannot be of much help with regard to your original topic.

Best of luck!
