We have added now 2 new sections to our site. You can access them from the two new links in the Virtual Humans bar at the top.
Virtual Humans Store

This is an e-commerce store, where you can search for A.I. books, robots, software and even buy them directly through Amazon.

Virtual Humans Directory

Our experience at Virtual Humans Forum and AIML Forum showed us that there are many people who want to learn and experiment, and who would like to develop their innovative ideas, but they often ask for guidelines about the best path to reach their goals.
Considering these needs, we had the idea to create a central repository of selected references, which is called Virtual Humans Directory.

As you may have noticed, I've now changed and added several functions:

  • New navigation bar at the top, where all the sections of the Virtual Humans site are available

  • New look and feel

  • New option in the Store to get directly to the full Amazon catalogue

  • New Search box always available at the top, where you can search the Web through Google or search the VH site

  • New section about Technology news. This section is built as an ASP page which retrieves RSS feeds from Yahoo and allows you to search for specific subjects and/or words contained in the text. The Yahoo RSS news are a good source for general tech info, but there is no specific feed for A.I. and robotics. If some of you finds a goos source of RSS feeds about these subjects, please let me know answering this post.

Any comment is welcomed.

Hmm, is it just me? I can't see a Google search box (the old one seems to have disappeared), can't see a new navigation bar, and can't see a tech-specific news area (although I wouldn't use this personally anyway). I've cleared my cache and hit reload. Maybe I just don't know what I'm looking for

Maybe that's because your bookmark is set to www.vrconsulting.it/vhf/default.asp which is the standard forum page, or to any other specific page of the forum.

Now I have created in the vhf folder a new index page, which contains two frames, one is the top navigation bar, and the other contains the usual forum page.

So, you should use one of the following links to get the full interface:

www.vhumanforum.com
www.vhumansforum.com
www.virtualhumanforum.com
www.virtualhumansforum.com
www.vrconsulting.it/vhf
www.vrconsulting.it/vhd

Let me know if this solves the problem.

I have completely restructured the Virtual Humans News section.

Besides a new graphic layout, I have rewritten the program which reads the RSS feeds. Instead of using a general Technology category from Yahoo, I've chosen the news by Google, which allow to search and browse 4,500 news sources updated continuously.

So now the program reads every 30 minutes these news, filtering those containing (in the title and/or in the description) a selected keyword (virtual human, chatbot, artificial intelligence) and finally generates the page you see.
