At this point in history, making a virtual assistant is like making the first airplanes that flew in the sky. There is no set of ordered steps to take... just a goal of what you would like your assistant to be and the journey to accomplish it.

Make a list of what you want from your virtual human and take baby-steps to complete it. Break it down into parts and capitallize on progress.

But like I said, there is no set way to create a virtual human. There are tons of tools and programming languages to help you tho.

At this point it's almost like we are building a Star Trek transporter from scratch. It allows tremendous wiggle room and freedom of invention. It's quite an adventure. So good luck.

Try learning a language first of course. I use C++, C#, and VB, plus ASP for some internet functions. Then get into graphics. Maybe learn how to use Poser to bring your character's visual element to life. If you are going to use real 3D, you might try Unity and 3dsmax. Unity has a web interface, so I hear, plus I think it's multi-platform.

Like I said, good luck. A lot of people come here asking this same question. None have returned to share their accomplishments. Maybe you will be one of the few to succeed.

Cya!

Hello friend good morning, first of all thank you for answering me. Now I will tell the story of my project. Two years ago I started a project in Pandorabots, and all I have posted so far is a female Haptek character with tts voices, but I ended up abandoning the project due to lack of help when I got to the point of making the recognition of voice. but as I am a fighter I decided again back to the project. all I need to finish this first phase of the project is to build a voice input in html as the voice recognition in Google Chrome. I have the sure,if someone help me build a html voice recognition in,identical to the speech recognition google chrome, this dream will become a reality for all. I say this because this project will be non-profit, he will be free for all. I wanted to thank you again mikmoth for your attention
