I've been in this predicament for awhile now. How to program mobile avatars without loosing the power and strength we find in a desktop computer?

My kind of bot is for relationships. Not as much as for 'ooh lets look up when the next sun-rise is'. I like that kind of bot and it appeals to me and I will even design framework for it in the future, BUT relationship bots have always been in my foremost endeavours.

Even so... it takes a lot of power to run a relationship bot. I have Kari working on a SmartPhone for example, but it's not half as smart as the one running on the desktop. It could be in the future, perhaps, but even years after the mobile craze began the technology isn't there for what I want to do with it.

Anyway... with Kari iPad/iPhone on it's way I'm going to be getting a lot of practice developing these applications. I find that everytime I program a new chatbot I enhance what was already there in my code. Hopefully programming mobile devices will not differ.

I know that mobile technology will be an important part of how humans interact in the future. I know that "relationship technology" will also need to be invented to interact not just with our phones but big huge video games and dynamic movies that are coming. I think there will be big bucks down the line for whoever can create the most loveable and beautiful Ai personalities. And of course androids. Creating life where it never existed before... That's just it. And that includes mobile devices.

That's nice, Mik but i might be reluctant to put all my i's into just one basket. i'd consider looking into the Android market where the majority of people are now and are heading!

Apple actually though a fine company, is severely limited by the lack of public acceptance of all the i things and Apple's proprietary nature is unfortunately going to be their undoing unless things change.

Look around and study before you commit all your time and energy. I'm just sayin...as a friend!

It doesn't hurt to row the same boat with TWO oars if you get my drift!

In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!
