vrossi, I hope everything is well. We haven't spoken in some time. Most of my communication was on the 'UH web page forum'. I have been using your vrHaptek plugin since you wrote and really enjoy it and can be used with torso characters as well except for the obvious control features. I was able to add more props to my figure such as earrings without any problems. I am trying to activate some sort of 'Tired' hap that helps the character realize that maybe it is time for me to leave or we have communicated for a period of time and now it is time to rest. I have a 'Sleepy.hap' someone made with multiple answers but I really don't know if that is appropriate to work within your vrHaptek. People have even developed some script similar to yours and you can just add different functions, reactions for example. One was getting your character to sleep, close eyes then be able to wake. I was hoping I would be able to incorporate a similar action with vrHaptek. If time permits is this something you could help me with and I would be happy to donate to your time since I have been using your work for many years now. I hope that the donation part does not make this uncomfortable but I am a businessman and time costs money especially today. To directly reach me I believe my e mail is listed if not I don't have a problem sending it to you another way. Just in case anything anything needs to be discussed and s not appropriate on this thread.
Thanks for your time.

vrossi,
I did find some of my own posts in this forum about your plugin and I just didn't remember. Carl2 also added that you like to keep things simple. I totally agree with you but when I was able to get just small things working with your plugin it started me off again and so much time had gone by. I guess Hal is just kind of peaking with the all the different things everyone is still trying to add including myself. I wrote to Robert M. about his new release and waiting on a reply because things are getting stagnant just in regards to finally using Hal and being content with some limitations and except the fact Hal changes all the time by learning, just my opinion. Denise program I think will really be a breath of fresh air in terms of how can we get ourselves into trouble again. Then again look at all the benefits Hal developed by people like you that push the envelope. But I would appreciate if you could reply unless you really feel it's a waste of time because you have already explained to me about the use of a torso character with your plugin.
Thanks again,
raybe

Hi, raybe,

thank you for your comments on my plugin.

I have no problem in discussing these topics here. If I understand correclty, you would like a plugin which starts a Hap file after a certain time of conversation.

Since version 6.2.24, an optional loneliness plug-in is available in Hal's brain options. It allows Hal to initiate a conversation with the user if the user hasn't said anything for a while. This is different from what you are looking for, but I suppose that it might be a good starting point for the plugin you are requesting.

I currently have no development projects about Hal, but if you describe your needs in a more detailed way, I might add it to my to-do list.

I have always released my plugins for free, but I would appreciate a donation, if you wish to help this Forum in paying the web server and some google advertising. You can make a donation from the "Support our Forum" link on the Home Page or going directly to the page http://www.vrconsulting.it/vhf/vhsupport.html

Thank you

It would be my pleasure to share with you after all the years of work you have given me for free.
I am really trying to use your vrhaptek plugin just to work as the section of the plugin works for example 'Change to blonde hair'. Nothing based on timing because that is an issue all by itself. But just want a 'user sentence' that would trigger the hap files with various replies.

If InStr(vrUserSentence, "blond") > 0 And InStr(vrUserSentence, "hair") > 0 Then
vrFile = "HairBlonde.hap"
GetResponse = "Gentlemen prefer blondes.Well most men anyway."

I hope I didn't make things more confusing (this is yours of coarse. I just added to the response.) and I can show you the hap file that was written for the Hal character to react to being tired or sleepy if needed. The one particular hap file (sleepy) just contains SetSwitches and I am betting that the torso character probably does not recognize them. I thought setswitches would work with any character as long as it was written in the parameters of a haptek character, torso or not. As I mentioned your plugin works just fine for certain things that are within the parameters of the character.

Thanks again for your time.

vrossi,

I apologize for not posting sooner but when I didn't see any reply I just figured I wait.(I know a little extreme on the wait time) But I didn't mean to implie that I am not interested in supporting forum. One thing has nothing to do with the other. Is there another way to support forum other than the use of pay pal. Would there be another direct system in place. I never use pay pal. I used once and had an issue. Doesn't matter about the plug-in. We can discuss again at a later time if you wish.

Sorry again,
raybe

Sorry for leaving this topic without any further comment for more than one month. I had a lot of work during these weeks and now I'm going on holidays for a couple of weeks. I will contact you again here later.

I have been using a PayPal account since 2005 and I have never had any problem. As far as I know it's the easiest way to get money on the Web. You don't need to have a PayPal account; you can just use any credit card to pay through a PayPal page.
