Absolutely amazing mik, you are in leagues of your own on this! You may have already said it on here, but will there be a really indepth character maker for males as well?

Thanks darkwolf! I like encouragement. been missing you on here...

Most definately yes... I already have the male character ready to go. Here are some pics.

The first one is modeled after me. I used my face.

This one is Tyler from the ABC show 'V'.

Still have a ways to go with the male characters. I have to give them more clothing. And ahem... they are anatomically correct in the game fyi.

*Glomps* You made guys with long hair! Why do people always think men have to have short hair? Can't wait to see more of these guys ^^

Ya I like long hair. I grow my hair long... good long, not messy long.

News: AiBliss 1.3 with all the new updates should be going out 1-2 days. That means tomorrow or the next day!

All I have left to do is rewrite some of the documentation.

I hope you like. Will post when I release.

Naa... I'm not a blogger.

There was as problem with the installer and Vista/Win7 UAC settings. I've updated the setupfile and it should work now.

Sorry about that.

An appeal for suggestions:

There are two modes for using AiBliss. There is a orbit mode where you can rotate the mouse around and look down at the level scene and there is a "run around" mode where you can use the keys W,A,S,D for moving around the level on the ground.

The problem is that this is a chat bot and when in "run around" mode the keys W,A,S,D are used for controlling movement. It's like that in all video games. When you are chatting with her and type in w,a,s, or d... you move around though. It looks a little weird chatting to her and having yourself move while your doing it.

I sorta wanna keep the keys W,A,S,D because those are very known video game keys for movement.

Any ideas how to approach this problem?

Thanks.

Change the keyboard controls to:

Rt_Ctrl-W
Rt_Ctrl-A
Rt_Ctrl-S
Rt_Ctrl-D

This is easy to do with the keyboard and won't let the avatar move when you are texting.

Do keep the mouse control of the avatar though...

Haven't the darn'dest time doing this :( I'm trying to zoom out and it won't let me, it's just kinda stuck on her stomach area, it turns but thats it. I just want the desktop mode and her bust only, so I can feel more like I'm talking to her. What am I doing wrong? Also, would it be possible to make a desktop 'bust mode' for when you just want a close up while your talking?

Click Menu > Show Mouse Controls to see a quick run down on how to control AiBliss.

Here is the window that will pop-up.

Zoom-Out/In is Shift-Mouse.

Ooh! Thanks John... that might be it. I'm gonna test it out right now.

Edit: Hmm.... Still need my right hand to control direction though. W moves forward but I use the mouse to freely create a direction. W moves the camera forward relatively wherever you point your mouse.

Hmm... I might just have to create some Ai to make this happen based on avatar distance to the camera, keypresses, and time durations. ugh

Interesting Post On The Controls Here!
I See Early In This Post There May've Been Some Problems,
With The WASD Keys!
I Checked Out What WASD Means On Wikipedia:Up,Down,Etc.
Now Alternatively,, Would'nt Be Easier To Just Use The Arrow Keys !!??
Seems Like It Would Be Easier, I'd Say!(??)
If Not, Maybe You Could Write Some Kind Of Code For It, Hmmm...!!??

People usually use their right hand to control the mouse. Arrow keys are on the right as well... so that won't work.

Thanks anyways guys... now you see why I asked.

Edit: I got it... Movement doesnt start until it senses "ww" that way if your chatting regular one "w" or "a" or "s" won't trigger movement. Works...
